Mark Norris
Group Managing Director

Mark was educated in the UK and after working for several years in Restaurants, he joined the Savoy Group in London and Paris. He then moved to Hilton International to later rejoin The Savoy in London as a member of the Executive Committee.

Mark has now been with Profile since 1984 and during this time he has had the privilege of getting to know hotel industry leaders from literally all around the world. Based in London, he handles senior appointments alongside his co-directors Liz Hartstone and Michèle Alguacil (Paris), also keeping closely in touch with Profile's specialist recruitment divisions.

With a great interest in the hotel and travel industry, Mark has travelled extensively around the globe meeting clients and candidates and visiting the establishments that Profile represents. Married with two children, private interests include Opera, Sailing, Golf, Gardening and International travel. Mark is a member of the HCIMA and completed Cranfield University's BGP Programme.

Liz Hartstone
Managing Director, London

Liz joined the company in 1988 from Four Seasons. Initially Liz was responsible for Rooms Division Appointments encompassing Housekeeping and Engineering growing the division to a team of 4 Consultants. She rapidly progressed within the company being promoted to Director in 1993. As a result of extensive travel throughout the UK and internationally, representing Profile at Industry conferences and events, Liz has continued to broaden her network of contacts allowing her to widen her recruitment activities to include Senior Management Appointments. One area she has gained particular expertise in is the Caribbean, through regular attendance of CHIC (the Caribbean Hotel Industry Conference) as well as various island-hopping trips.

In addition to handling General Management appointments from as far a field as Australia to Zanzibar and closer to home in London and the rest of the UK, Liz heads the London Team, sharing her extensive knowledge of the hotel industry world-wide.

Liz who graduated from Westminster College with a BTEC HND, is a fellow of the HCIMA and an active member of the Caribbean Hotel Association.

Michèle Alguacil
Managing Director, Paris

After graduating from the Ecole Hotelière de Strasbourg, Michèle held a number of senior positions with InterContinental Hotels over a period of more than twenty years including Vice President of Human Resources for Europe, Middle East and Africa. In the course of her hotel career, Michèle travelled extensively visiting hotels playing an important role in opening a number of InterCon's key properties, many of which have become international icons. Michèle was instrumental in the opening of Profile's Paris office in 1993 and in addition to leading her team, she remains closely involved handling senior appointments in conjunction with Mark and Liz.

Typical search assignments that Mark, Liz and Michèle handle range from CEO's, Managing Directors, General Managers and Operational Managers to Head Office roles in positions such as Finance and Human Resources.

Nicoletta Pilardi
Senior Consultant

Joining Profile as a Senior Consultant in 2006, Nicoletta was aged three when her parents opened the ‘Hotel Sporting’ in Italy; she would say that she has been an hotelier ever since!

With a master’s degree in Sociology, her early hotel experience was in F&B, Front Office and as a PA to the Executive Director for the Hotel Eden in Rome and for the Hyde Park Hotel in London (now a Mandarin Oriental Hotel). Nicoletta continued to develop her professional career with a focus on Sales & Marketing at The Dorchester as Assistant Director of S&M, joining the pre-opening team of the St Regis Grand and Westin Excelsior in Rome as Director of Sales.

As Director of Sales for Italy, Spain, Portugal and France for the London International Sales Office for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Nicoletta was responsible for 58 hotels. Most recently she was Regional Director of Sales, Europe for the New York Palace and the Hotel Bel Air as a consultant.

With her professional international experience and strong language ability Nicoletta has an ideal background for her role, which is responsible for Senior and Corporate Appointments.

An Italian national who has spent many years in London, Nicoletta enjoys travelling, outdoor activities, sports, theatre, cinema, gastronomy and dancing.

Dorinda Forde
Senior Research Consultant

Dorinda Forde made a very welcome return from extended family leave to Profile in 2006 and will be working mainly from her home office in Oxfordshire. Liaising daily with our London team, Dorinda will focus on regular communication with senior Candidates at GM and RM.

Many of our contacts will remember Dorinda from their dealings with her in the role of Senior Consultant in our London Office when she developed a series of very successful client relationships including Pan Pacific, Rosewood, Hyatt and Sheraton as some of her prestigious key clients.

A graduate from Leeds University, Dorinda held a number of senior Sales and Marketing positions in the UK with Sheraton prior to originally joining Profile in 1995.
